National Medical Library is the Apex Medical Library of India, one of its greatest strength being the richest collection of Medical books, journals, reports and electronic databases. NML was established on 7th April, 1966 on the recommendation of Bohre’s Committee on Health Survey and Development headed by Sir Joseph Bohre in 1946. It occupies an important position in country’s health care information delivery system. It has a huge collection of more than 6.5 lakhs of books, bound volume of journals, reports, etc.
