Access of Library

NML provides access to all Health Science Professionals (HSPs) for reference and consultation. It is one of the biggest medical library in the country, users including PG students, teachers, research scholars, practicing doctors/ surgeons, health administrators, drug manufactures, nurses etc, were comes from across the country. Library also receives a number of reference queries and provides quick reference services through email/telephone.

Training, Webinars, Conferences and user awareness programmes:

NML regularly organise series of webinars, Region wise training-cum-awareness programmes and conferences to awareness end users NML-ERMED consortium for optimum utilization of e-resources subscribed under the consortium.

Future plans for Innovative services of NML:

  • To develop a ‘National Database of Health Science Theses and Dissertations’;

  • To coordinate with the respective Health science councils (Medical/Nursing/Dental, etc.) to mandate all health science Medical College/Institute/ Professionals to deposit a copy of each publication (Book/Journal/Theses/Dissertations/Report, etc.) to

  • the NML;

  • To re-start Short-Term Training Courses/ Apprenticeship in order to train the Health Science Library Professional across the country.

  • To compile/develop an online “National Union Catalogues of Health Science Serials”

  • To maintain a Special Reading Hall, which will be opened 24x7 without disturbing regular services of NML.
